Admission Requirements:

Master’s of Science in Education Program Basic Requirements

  • Undergraduate Cumulative Grade Point Average:
    3.0 or equivalent required for unconditional admission.
  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE) (scores less than 5 years old):
    Required for all Educational Studies program areas, except for Special Education
    and Educational Leadership if undergraduate GPA is higher than a 3.0.
    Required for all graduates from non-U.S. institutions of higher education.
    In general, a combined GRE verbal and quantitative score of 300 or more is expected.
  • ETS Personal Potential Index (PPI)
    Applicants are encouraged to complete the ETS Personal Potential Index (PPI) when registering for the GRE.

Educational Specialist Degree Program

  • Undergraduate Cumulative Grade Point Average:
    3.0 or equivalent required for unconditional admission.
  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE) (scores less than 5 years old):
    Required: In general, a combined GRE verbal and quantitative score of 300 or more is expected.
    If a student holds a 3.2/4.0 Grade Point Average Master’s (GPA) or above, the GRE is not required for admission.
  • ETS Personal Potential Index (PPI)
    Applicants are encouraged to complete the ETS Personal Potential Index (PPI) when registering for the GRE.

Doctoral Degree Program

  • Undergraduate Cumulative Grade Point Average:
    3.0 or equivalent required for unconditional admission
  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE) (scores less than 5 years old:
    Required: In general, a combined GRE verbal and quantitative score of 300 or more is expected.
  • ETS Personal Potential Index (PPI)
