AD 39500 - History Of Design

Credit Hours: 3.00.  A survey of the historical development of design from the industrial revolution to the present that examines the influence of new technologies, materials, and style on design practice as well as the role of design in shaping the technologies and things of everyday life. Throughout the course, students will analyze design within the broader social, cultural, and political context of production, consumption, and use. Typically offered Fall.Credits: 3.00
