CNIT 27000 - Cybersecurity Fundamentals

Credit Hours: 3.00. This course introduces cybersecurity fundamentals and concepts. Security models that provide a basis for overarching security solutions are introduced to provide a basis for discussion. Risks and vulnerabilities are examined along with technical controls that can be used to mitigate them. The role of security policy and the incident management framework are examined. Emphasis is placed on building a strong foundation for further study in the field. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer.Credits: 3.00
