JPNS 20200 - Japanese Level IV (UCC: HUM)

Credit Hours: 3.00 to 4.00.  A continuation of intermediate Japanese. Active use of authentic materials for listening and reading practice. Task-oriented exercises, communicative activities, and pattern practice for learning of the spoken and written language. 150 Kanji.  
Learning Outcomes
1. Describe experiences of gift giving and receiving. 2. Express preferences and selections. 3. Explain procedures and important points. 4. Describe events, make small talk, and express one’s conjectures and opinions. 5. Describe customs, regulation and express appreciation, and ask for permission to do something. 6. Express complaints, request change of behavior, express apologies. 7. Express respect to social superiors. 8. Read and write a total of 350 kanji.
