THTR 25300 - Intro To Audio System Documentation


Credit Hours: 3.00.  This course explores the creation and interpretation of production deliverables for theatrical audio systems. Through hands-on exercises and the study of industry-standard documentation, students will learn to draft, interpret, and apply audio system design drawings. Emphasis will be placed on creating clear and precise documentation that can be used by technicians, designers, and production teams in a theatrical environment.
Learning Outcomes
1.  Recognize standard symbols and notation used in audio system documentation.
2.  Construct detailed signal flow diagrams, block diagrams, and rack layouts for theatrical sound systems.
3.  Apply industry-standard software and techniques for creating professional AV system documentation.
