STAT 59700 - Statistical Consulting Seminar

Credit Hours: 1.00.  Active participation in weekly consulting meetings, directed reading in the statistical literature, application of statistical methods to real problems, report writing. Permission of Instructor required. 
Learning Outcomes
1. Improve on the skills needed to be an effective statistical consultant and collaborator, including problem solving, time management, and written and oral communication.
2. Develop good listener and questioner skills in order to understand the goals of a study and the data (to be) collected.
3. Apply appropriate statistical methods to address real-world problems.
