TLI 36700 - Teaching Design And Innovation I Credit Hours: 3.00. This course focuses on the development of appropriate engineering design knowledge and skill required to effectively teach middle and high school engineering/technology education courses by infusing engineering design into the curriculum. Students will use 3-D solid modeling software, rapid prototyping, and other design technologies as they engage in the engineering design process through an open-ended engineering design challenge. Learning Outcomes 1. Display the ability to teach students to develop skills for living in a knowledge-based, technological society using design-based pedagogical approaches. 2. Use the engineering design process to solve open-ended, ill-defined problems. 3. Demonstrate the ability to teach basic engineering design techniques. Credits: 3.00
