MGMT 56200 - Project Management Credit Hours: 2.00. Emphasizes the use of PC-based project management software and its applications, particularly in manufacturing organizations and especially new product development projects. Extensive use is made of several case studies to illustrate the planning and monitoring of a project. Class is held in a computer lab. Learning Outcomes 1. Understand the importance and challenges of managing projects of various types and sizes.
2. Learn and apply tools for project selection, team formation, and requirements gathering.
3. Create detailed budgets and schedules.
4. Acquire analytical capabilities for monitoring projects and investigating variances in scope, budget, and schedules.
