COM 21700 - Science Writing And Presentation (UCC: OC)

Credit Hours: 3.00. Students learn to effectively communicate scientific and technical information both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences.
Learning Outcomes
1.  Create written and oral science communication. 2.  Employ effective verbal and nonverbal delivery techniques while delivering a science-related presentation. 3.  Conduct an audience analysis and use the information to adapt messages delivered during a formal presentation and writing. 4.  Use effective organizational strategies for informational and persuasive scientific presentations. 5.  Use supporting evidence to increase the effectiveness and credibility of the messages delivered in informational and persuasive presentations.
