ECON 53900 - Wage Discrimination Credit Hours: 1.00. This course is an applied economics course that focuses on racial discrimination in the labor market. We will use the tools you have developed so far in the MA program to study the extent, causes and consequences of disparities in wages and employment by race. Learning Outcomes 1. Quantify racial and gender disparities in economic outcomes. 2. Recognize leading theories for those disparities. 3. Evaluate empirical evidence for these theories. 4. Assess policy responses to alleviate disparities. Credit Hours: 1.00
