MIS 54000 - Computing For Analytics

Credit Hours: 2.00 or 3.00.  The main goal of this course is to introduce students to algorithmic thinking and computational tools for data analytics. The course will focus on challenges associated with large data sets and how algorithms and data structures can aid in resolving some of those challenges. The course will introduce relevant programming techniques in Python. Permission of department required.  
Learning Outcomes
1. Categorize problems according to their computational complexity. 2. Employ algorithmic techniques to obtain insights about data. 3. Develop algorithms to new problems. 4. Implement the algorithms and methodologies in python.
Credit Hours: 2.00 or 3.00
