DSB 57400 - Frontiers In Manufacturing Technology
Credit Hours: 1.00. This course will explore various types of technologies used in manufacturing today and the implication for future uses and applications. These modules will provide background, applications, and current use cases of the various tools. Students will also conduct weekly research on various technology applications.
Learning Outcomes
1. Gain an understanding of the various technologies (17 types will be discussed). 2. Gain an understanding and be able to apply these tools to within the manufacturing sector. 3. Work independently and improve their ability to stay on task. 4. Be exposed to the history and how these technologies have evolved. 5. Gain an understanding of the future technological trends.
