STRT 31200 - Challenge X - Discovering Meaningful Problems Worth Solving


Credit Hours: 3.00.  Venture creation drives progress by solving complex challenges, addressing pressing problems, and unlocking new opportunities. It begins with a deep understanding of stakeholder needs, customer pain points, and systemic challenges through rigorous observation and direct engagement. This course helps students lay that foundation by identifying a problem space they care about and embarking on a discovery journey. By the end, they will define their Challenge X - a clear, high-impact problem or opportunity that could inspire a new venture. Permission from Instructor is required.
Learning Outcomes
1. Generate innovative venture ideas and critically evaluate their attractiveness and alignment with emerging market opportunities. [Idea Generation and Evaluation] 2.
