Credit Hours: 3.00. A study of the origins and transformation of the medieval crusading ideal as well as the development of western European civilization. Topics examined include warfare, heresy, religion, Islamic and Byzantine worlds, holy war theories, and economic and political history. This is the writing intensive version of HIST 31200.
