HIST 41100 - The Four Horsemen Ride: Crisis And Change In Europe 1300-1648 Credit Hours: 3.00. Upper-division history course on the history of various crises in late medieval and early modern Europe and the changes those crises wrought upon society. Topics include: famine, The Black Death and demographic upheavals, the Hundred Years’ War, religious schism, prophecy and divination, apocalyptic expectations, the fracturing of Christendom, new technologies and social change, conflict between Catholics and Protestants, The Thirty Year’s War.
