MCMP 54400 - Drug Classes And Mechanisms

Credit Hours: 3.00. The course will integrate basic principles of medicinal chemistry and pharmacology to achieve an understanding of drug mechanisms as applied to autonomic/endocrine, cardiovascular/renal, CNS, and chemotherapy/infectious diseases. The course will apply concepts from organic chemistry, biochemistry, anatomy, physiology, and principles of drug action to describe how drugs are used to treat the symptoms and causes of disease.
