Credit Hours: 3.00. Provides a fluid dynamics background for graduate students interested in atmospheric sciences, oceanography, mantle convection, hydrology, turbulence, or pollution. Topics covered include: basic assumptions and deviations of Navier Stokes equations, conservation laws, vorticity, divergence, waves, and applications in atmosphere, ocean, and geophysics.
