Credit Hours: 3.00. An examination of the different perspectives on issues of gender, culture, and science. Major topics include feminist critiques of scientific theories and methods, the work of women and minorities in science, the role science has played in the construction of race and gender, and topics in science education, such as girls’ learning in science and the potential of inclusive practices in the science classroom. Prerequisite: EDCI 51800 or EDCI 58500. Typically offered Summer Fall Spring.
