Credit Hours: 3.00. Critical examination of research on interventions aimed at improving child outcomes by promoting parenting competence. Emphasis on experimental research designs for assessing outcomes of diverse types of programs targeted to families with young children. Attention to uses of empirical data to inform decisions about the design and implementation of interventions. Prerequisite: HDFS 60100 and HDFS 61300. Typically offered Spring.
