PHYS 56600 - Introduction To Quantum Chromodynamics Credit Hours: 3.00. An introduction to the fundamental theory of strong interactions, Quantum Chromo-Dynamics (QCD), which describes the interactions of quarks and gluons. The main focus is on a reasonably self-contained approach. All the necessary ingredients will be introduced within the course. Knowledge of graduate-level E&M and Quantum Mechanics is helpful but not essential. Typically offered Fall Spring.
