The School of Materials Engineering offers MS and Ph.D. degrees in the field of Materials Science and Engineering.  Opportunities for research span the full range of engineering materials, with emphasis on characterizing their internal structure down to the atomic scale, structure-properties relationships, processing, and performance.  The School also serves as the hub for a broad range of interdisciplinary materials research at Purdue.
