The Interdisciplinary Master of Science in Engineering (MSE/MS) degree is completely online. Course offerings to complete the degree are the same as those offered to on-campus students and taught by Purdue faculty. The degree enables students to create a customized educational experience and is ideal for professional engineers wanting to explore knowledge in a discipline different from their undergraduate studies. This graduate program in engineering provides the student with an interdisciplinary education with an emphasis on the basic engineering sciences. It is designed to meet the specific needs of engineers employed in the industry.

Master of Science (MS) / Master of Science in Engineering (MSE)
The Interdisciplinary Master of Science in Engineering (MSE/MS) degree puts you in the lead to tailor your educational experience to your individual or company goals and current marketplace demands. The flexibility of our online Interdisciplinary Master’s degree enables you to create a customized educational experience like no other. The degree is ideal for professional engineers looking to explore knowledge in a variety of disciplines. The flexible nature of our programs makes it possible for you to take time off from your studies if needed.
- 30 credit hours total (with the exception of the ENML concentration at 33 and the dual program at 60 credit hours).

Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) or Master of Science (MS) degree awarded (depending upon undergraduate degree); the major is Interdisciplinary Engineering.

Dual Master of Science (MS) / Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) + MBA
The 60 credit hour online MSE/MS+MBA dual degree program is in partnership with Indiana University, Kelley School of Business; it is delivered into three segments: technical/engineering, bridge courses, and MBA courses. This program was created for engineers looking to advance their knowledge in the engineering field, while at the same time develop the kind of business and management skills that will open up new doors of professional opportunity
You’ll learn from the same renowned faculty who teach on campus at Purdue University and graduate with both an MSE/MS from Purdue and an MBA from IU.
