About Public Health

The Department of Public Health at Purdue University is dedicated to training individuals with a passion to help others through science-based approaches. Our faculty, students and alumni work as educators, researchers, practitioners, and policy makers to tackle challenges affecting the health and well-being of populations locally, nationally and globally.   Our focus is on disease prevention and health promotion.

We offer a bachelor’s of science (BS) degree in public health as well as a Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) accredited master’s degree of public health (MPH). All undergraduate and graduate students select a concentrations that matches their particular interests and complete a practicum to gain real-world work experience in a public health setting.  Graduates of Purdue University’s Department of Public Health are positioned to be successful leaders in the public health arena. We hope you will join us.
