Entomology has been a core component of Purdue University and the College of Agriculture since 1979. Our students study traditional areas of insect biology (molecular biology, behavior, systematics, ecology, pest management), as well as contemporary subjects and solutions related to grand societal challenges (health, environment & energy sustainability). As part of their graduate programs, our students also participate in multi-disciplinary work, leadership activities throughout the university, and participate in the teaching and extension missions.
