Academic Programs:

The College of Engineering offers fully online master’s degrees and graduate certificates designed to meet the specific needs of engineers employed in the industry. Dual-degrees (MSE/MS + MBA) are also available online (in partnership with IU Kelley School of Business) and on-campus (in partnership with Purdue Krannert School of Management).

Master’s Programs (Online)

Master of Science (MS) / Master of Science in Engineering (MSE)

The 30 or 33 credit hour online Interdisciplinary Master of Science in Engineering (MSE/MS) degree enables students to create a customized educational experience tailored to individual or company goals and current marketplace demands. It is ideal for professional engineers wanting to explore knowledge in a discipline different from their undergraduate studies. This graduate program provides students with an interdisciplinary education with an emphasis on the basic engineering sciences. Courses offered to complete the degree are the same as those offered to on-campus students and taught by Purdue faculty. The flexible nature of this program makes it possible to take time off if needed. The degree awarded is either the Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) or the Master of Science (MS) depending upon the undergraduate degree. It is possible to add one concentration but not required.

Dual Master of Science (MS) / Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) + MBA

The online MSE/MS+MBA dual degree program brings together two highly ranked programs: Purdue University’s online Interdisciplinary Master’s in Engineering and IU Kelley School of Business’s online MBA. The program is designed for engineers looking to advance their knowledge in the engineering field while developing business and management skills that will open doors to new professional opportunities. It is delivered into three segments: technical/engineering, bridge courses, and MBA courses and can be completed in as little as 60 credit hours.

Students learn from the same renowned faculty who teach on campus at Purdue University and earn degrees from both Purdue and  Indiana University.
