Requirements for the Minor (15 credits)
A. Japanese Language (6 credits)
B. Japanese Literature/Culture (3 credits)
C. Japanese Electives (6 credits)
Notes
- Before undertaking this minor, the student must establish proficiency equivalent to Japanese Level IV. Proficiency may be established by taking and passing JPNS 20200 , by examination, or by other evidence acceptable to the Department.
- 50% of credits for CLA minors must come from Purdue University.
- A minimum GPA of “B” (3.0/4) in the minor is required for the student to graduate with a Japanese minor.
- The P/NP option is not available to compete this requirement.
- No Departmental credit beyond JPNS 20200 nor credit by exam may be counted toward the minor.
