About the Program
The Public Policy certificate prepares students with a deeper understanding of the reach and impact of policy decisions intended to create solutions to societal problems. Students will learn how policies are influenced and changed by effective communication on important issues proposed by governments, businesses, political parties, and other entities for multiple audiences. The coursework spans major themes of policy including but not limited to social policy, economic policy and policies related to science, technology and the environment. Given the broad reach of policy and regulation, the Public Policy certificate has important implications for a wide array of academic majors across the university.
