Spanish for the Professions Minor

Requirements for the Minor (15 credits)
Before undertaking this minor, the student must establish proficiency equivalent to Spanish Level IV. Proficiency may be established by taking and passing SPAN 20200 or SPAN 20500 by examination, or by another evidence acceptable to the Department.
A. Spanish Language (6 credits)
B. Spanish for the Professions Required Course (3 credits)
C. Spanish for the Professions Elective (3-6 credits)
Choose one or two courses. D. Additional Course (0-3 credits)
Choose one course if only one course taken in Area C. Notes
- A minimum GPA of “B-” (2.67) in the minor is required.
- The P/NP option is not available to complete this minor.
- No courses can be completed by exam or departmental credit.
- Only one course (SPAN 30100 or SPAN 30200 ) can be received through transfer credit.
- The minor in Spanish for the Professions may not overlap with any other Spanish minor or Spanish major.
College of Liberal Arts Pass/No Pass Option Policy
- P/NP cannot be used to satisfy Liberal Arts Core, Liberal Arts major, minor, or certificate requirements.
