French Cultural Studies Minor

Before undertaking this minor, the student must establish proficiency equivalent to French Level IV. Proficiency may be establish by taking and passing FR 20200 by examination, or by other evidence acceptable to the Department.

Requirements for the Minor (15 credits)
French Language Courses (6 credits)
Two Content Courses (6 credits)
Required Capstone Course (3 credits)
Notes
- Before undertaking this minor, the student must establish proficiency equivalent to French Level IV. Proficiency may be established by taking and passing FR 20200 or FR 20500 by examination, or by other evidence acceptable to the Department.
- A minimum grade of “C” required in each course
- A minimum GPA of “B-” (2.67/4) in the minor is required.
- The P/NP option is not available to compete this requirement.
- Department credit or credit by exam are not to be used to meet the minor requirements.
- The minor may not overlap with any other French minor or major.
- 50% of credits for CLA minors must come from Purdue University
College of Liberal Arts Pass/No Pass Option Policy
- P/NP cannot be used to satisfy Liberal Arts Core, Liberal Arts major, minor, or certificate requirements.
