About the Program
In today’s rapidly evolving educational and military landscape, flexibility and adaptability are paramount. As we prepare students for the challenges of the future, we must ensure that our curriculum remains dynamic and relevant. Removing the core courses from the masters in defense and security curriculum is a strategic move to optimize student learning outcomes and enhance their overall educational experience. By streamlining the curriculum, we will provide students with more opportunities for in-depth exploration and specialization in the areas most related to their current and future job roles as Department of Defense employees. Students will focus their energy on mastering key concepts and skills that are directly applicable to their career fields through interdisciplinary coursework. By reimagining our curriculum in this way, we will better equip our students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Participation in this program is limited to members of the United States Department of Defense (DoD) and the DoD contractor community. Applicants will be required to demonstrate that they are members of these communities in order to enroll. Program Requirements
