About the Program
In a world driven by digital transformation and rapidly advancing technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), commercialization, and automation, organizations need leaders who can navigate a landscape where almost any business is a technology business and almost any business function has a technology component. Purdue University’s 100% online Master of Business and Technology (MBT) focuses on this nexus of business and technology. Purdue’s flexible, future-focused program is well-suited for bachelor’s graduates or working professionals coming from an engineering, technical, or other STEM-related background who are looking to move into leadership and management roles. The MBT builds on students’ technical backgrounds to elevate their thought process from just implementing technologic solutions to understanding technology’s business and ethical implications. The program from Purdue’s Mitch Daniels Schools of Business differs from an MBA in its emphasis on leveraging emerging technologies to address challenges facing businesses and to conceptualize yet-to-exist technological innovations. With the applied focus Purdue is known for, the STEM-designated MBT program also includes a well-rounded graduate business education, albeit with a technology bent.
