About the Program
The concentration in Science Education for the Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction is designed primarily for the continuing preparation of public school teachers. Areas of specialization include: - Earth/Space Science Education
- Biology Education
- Chemistry Education
- Geo-environmental Education
- General Science
- Physics Education

Science Education Selectives (6 credits)
Choose two. Science Elective (6 credits)
Depending on prior science coursework and professional experience, at least 6 credits science content are required. Curriculum and Instruction Elective (3 credits)
Students should choose a 500/600-level course from Curriculum and Instruction to fulfill this requirement. Thesis Research (0-6 credits)
Only required for thesis MS students. Portfolio Research (0-6 credits)
