About the Program
The School of Engineering Technology offers two research-based degree programs in Robotics Technology leading to the M.S. and Ph.D. The graduate programs in Robotics Technology at Purdue will prepare students to effectively respond to current issues, trends, and challenges in robotics and related technologies through a wide variety of platforms and media. These programs are designed to respond to the rapidly increasing demand of a highly-skilled workforce to support the adoption of robotics technologies and a plethora of smart products that sense, think, and act in various industries in the state of Indiana, the United States, and the world at large. Choose one. Perception/Cognition/Actuation Courses (6 credits)
Students must choose two core areas to focus their studies and take one course from each. The areas, listed below, are: Perception, Cognition, and Actuation. It is not necessary to take one course from all three areas. Seminar Course (1 credit)
Focus Area Elective (3 credits)
Students should choose an elective course in one focus area in consultation with their primary advisor. Focus areas include: Manipulation and Manufacturing; Mechatronics and Control; AI and Data Science; Cyber-Human Systems and Assistive Robotics; Cyber-Animal Systems and AgRobotics; Autonomous Systems; Sensing and Computer Vision; and Internet of Things.
