About the Program
The Master of Science in Computer Graphics Technology prepares students for advanced careers and research in interactive graphics, immersive media, visualization, user experience design, animation, game development, and creative artificial intelligence. This 36-credit program integrates computational foundations, human-centered design, and research methods to address complex challenges in digital systems and emerging media technologies.
Students develop expertise in areas such as real-time rendering, GPU computing, game design and development, virtual and augmented environments, UX design, computer animation, intelligent virtual agents, and creative AI. The curriculum emphasizes both technical depth and creative innovation, supported by qualitative and quantitative research preparation.
The program offers both a directed capstone/project option for applied professional practice and a thesis option for research-focused students preparing for doctoral study. Graduates are prepared for leadership roles in graphics engineering, immersive technology, visualization, UX design, game development, and advanced creative technology across industry, research laboratories, and academia.

GPA Requirements
University requirements state that no grade of “D” or “F” is allowed in a course on the plan of study. Any plan of study course in which a grade of “D” or “F” is received must be repeated and completed successfully; it cannot be dropped from the plan of study. In addition, in the School of Applied and Creative Computing department, any course in which a grade lower than “B” is received cannot count towards a student’s plan of study requirements.
