About the Concentration

The development of new medical technologies and devices has expanded from traditional hardware devices to an increasing reliance on software devices and supporting technologies such as AI. Additionally, the delivery of healthcare and collection and use of health-related data to support treatment and new product development rely on digital technologies. The Artificial Intelligence and Digital Health with Industry Immersion concentration provides a core focus on artificial intelligence and digital health within the medical technology ecosystem.

This concentration is part of a Biomedical Engineering Professional Master’s program. Therefore, the focus is to prepare students for an immediate career in industry or the healthcare field. The concentration can also help returning learners or those currently in industry who are interested in transitioning careers. This concentration “with industry immersion” allows interested students to gain practical experience.
