About this Concentration
The Audio Engineering Concentration provides students in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) and Computer Engineering Technology (CET) with a focused pathway in the design, analysis, and implementation of modern audio systems.
Through a combination of analog electronics, integrated circuit applications, and digital signal processing, students develop the technical competencies required to design, build, test, and optimize professional-grade audio hardware and embedded audio systems.
The concentration emphasizes:
- Audio signal transduction and amplification
- Analog circuit design using integrated circuits
- Real-time digital signal processing
- Measurement, testing, and performance evaluation
- Computer-aided circuit and DSP analysis
Students gain hands-on experience designing complete audio signal chains-from microphone input through processing and amplification to loudspeaker output.
