About the Concentration
The Supply Chain Management Technology Concentration provides Electrical Engineering Technology and Computer Engineering Technology students with a structured understanding of how products, information, and technology move across complex global systems. The concentration introduces students to supply chain operations, logistics networks, procurement, distribution systems, and the technologies that enable visibility, coordination, and performance optimization.
Students develop applied knowledge in warehouse operations, inventory control, global transportation systems, strategic sourcing, and customer-facing technical sales. Emphasis is placed on operational efficiency, data-informed decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, and the integration of digital systems within supply chain environments.
Designed to complement the technical foundations of engineering technology programs, this concentration prepares graduates to apply analytical, automation, networking, and systems integration skills within manufacturing, distribution, and technology-enabled supply networks. Students gain insight into how automation, information systems, and electronic technologies support inventory accuracy, transportation management, enterprise resource planning, and global trade operations.
By bridging engineering technology and supply chain strategy, this concentration equips graduates to contribute to high-demand roles in manufacturing operations, logistics coordination, technical sales, supply chain analytics, and technology-driven distribution systems.
