About the Certificate

The new Foundations in Artificial Intelligence for Technical Professionals graduate certificate is designed for individuals with a strong background in computer science or engineering who wish to build a robust technical foundation in Artificial Intelligence. Program Learning Outcomes

Students will:

• Design and implement data-driven AI/ML solutions, effectively formulating complex real-world problems into amenable tasks, and applying core machine learning and data mining algorithms with proficiency in programming languages and frameworks.
• Critically analyze diverse AI and machine learning algorithms, discerning their underlying mathematical and statistical principles, strengths, weaknesses, and applicability to various data types and problem domains.
• Evaluate the performance, fairness, and ethical implications of AI/ML models using appropriate metrics and identifying potential biases, and critically assess the broader legal, regulatory, and governance strategies for responsible AI design and deployment.
