About the Concentration
The Computing & Digital Intelligence Area of Concentration equips Human Resource Development (HRD) students with foundational technical fluency in systems development, software concepts, and digital problem-solving. As HR functions increasingly rely on data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled platforms, professionals must understand how digital systems shape talent strategy, workforce planning, learning delivery, and organizational decision-making.
This concentration builds students’ ability to think computationally, interpret workforce data, and collaborate effectively with technical and analytics teams. By strengthening digital literacy alongside HRD’s human-centered foundation, students develop the capacity to translate organizational needs into system requirements, evaluate technology solutions, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Designed as an optional pathway, this concentration prepares HRD graduates to operate confidently in technology-enabled environments, enhancing their competitiveness for roles in HR analytics, HR technology, talent operations, and digitally integrated people management.
