PHIL 22300 - Fate And Free Will Credit Hours: 3.00. This course encourages critical reflection on the nature and possibility of human freedom in a world like ours that appears to be determined by unchanging causal and physical laws. Topics include the compatibility of free will and determinism, the possibility of moral responsibility without free will, and the incentives (if any) for future planning if our future fate is already sealed. Typically offered Fall Spring.
