AAE 61300 - Viscous Flow Theory

Credit Hours: 3.00.  Compressible, laminar boundary layer theory; Buseman and Crocco integrals; skin friction and heat transfer. Introduction to turbulent boundary layers and transition phenomena. Advanced boundary layer theory; the method of inner and outer expansions. Boundary layers with chemical reaction; applications to hypersonic flow and combustion. Prerequisite: AAE 51100.
