Credit Hours: 3.00. This course presents probabilistic methodologies for engineering design under uncertainty. It is intended for students who are interested in statistical/probabilistic methods for engineering analysis and design. The outcomes of the course are 1) an ability to model uncertainties in engineering applications, 2) an ability to performance basic statistics, risk, and reliability analyses, and 3) an ability to integrate probabilistic design with simulations, optimization, Design for Six Sigma, and Design of Experiments. The course is lecture and project based.Credits: 3.00
