Credit Hours: 2.00. A didactic course focusing on basic principles of the biology of laboratory animals and how they are managed in a vivarium. Covers regulatory aspects, anatomy, biological techniques, research uses, and management of mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, other rodentia, rabbits, dogs, cats, ferrets, and various species of primates, reptiles, and avians, in experimental and educational applications.
