VCS 89200 - Veterinary Forensic Medicine Credit Hours: 1.00. The definition of forensic medicine is a science that deals with the relation and application of medical facts to legal problems. The primary role of a forensic specialist is to provide law enforcement officials, judges, and jury members with the information necessary to make decisions (decision to prosecute, render a verdict, etc.) regarding a case. This elective course is designed to expose students to the many situations where veterinary medicine and the law intersect. Typically offered Spring.
