Requirements for the Minor (15 credits)
A. Chinese Language (6 credits)
Before undertaking this minor, the student must establish proficiency equivalent to Chinese Level IV. Proficiency may be established by taking and passing CHNS 20200 - Chinese Level IV , by examination, or by other evidence acceptable to the Department. B. Chinese Literature (3 credits)
C. Chinese Electives (6 credits)
Courses used to fulfill requirements for categories A or B cannot be used to meet requirements for category C. Notes
- 50% of credits for CLA minors must come from Purdue University
- Before undertaking this minor, the student must establish proficiency equivalent to Chinese Level IV. Proficiency may be established by taking and passing CHNS 20200 , by examination, or by other evidence acceptable to the Department.
- Courses taken within the minor must have an average grade of “B” (3.0/4) or above. No course with a grade lower than “C” may count toward the minor.
- The P/NP option is not available to compete this requirement.
College of Liberal Arts Pass/No Pass Option Policy
- P/NP cannot be used to satisfy Liberal Arts Core, Liberal Arts major, minor, or certificate requirements.
