Requirements for the Minor (12 credits)
The requirements for the minor include WGSS 28000 and three additional courses. The introductory course provides an overview of this interdisciplinary area of study. The remaining three courses are selected from a list of approved courses offered by departments and programs in the College of Liberal Arts. Some of these courses have departmental prerequisites. Although WGSS 28000 is not a prerequisite to any of them, it is recommended as the first course of the program. A. Introductory Course (3 credits)
B. Women’s Studies (3 credits)
Choose one of the following. Course used to fulfill requirement B may not be used to fulfill requirement C. C. Selectives - Choose Two (6 credits)
Courses listed in Requirement B (but not used to fulfill Requirement B) may also be used to fulfill this requirement. Notes
- 50% of credits for CLA minors must come from Purdue University.
- Students must receive a grade of “C” or better. The P/NP option is not available to complete this minor.
- Substitutions of other courses in the Women’s Studies course listings (e.g. HIST 49200, History of American Feminism ; POL 42900, Contemporary Feminist Theory ; etc.) may be made with the approval of the Director of the Women’s Studies Program.
College of Liberal Arts Pass/No Pass Option Policy
- P/NP cannot be used to satisfy Liberal Arts Core, Liberal Arts major, minor, or certificate requirements.
