Spanish for the Professions Minor

Requirements for the Minor (15 credits)
Before undertaking this minor, the student must establish proficiency equivalent to Spanish Level IV. Proficiency may be established by taking and passing SPAN 20200, SPAN 22400, or SPAN 20500, by examination, or by other evidence acceptable to the Department. A. Spanish Language (6 credits)
B. Spanish for the Professions Required Course (3 credits)
C. Spanish for the Professions Elective (3-6 credits)
Choose one or two courses. D. Additional Course (0-3 credits)
Choose one course if only one course taken in Area C. Notes
- Students must earn an overall GPA of 2.67/4.0 in courses for the minor.
- A minimum grad of “C” is required for a course to count for the minor.
- Students may only complete the plan of study for one of the following: Spanish BA Major, Spanish Minor, or Spanish for the Professions Minor.
College of Liberal Arts Pass/No Pass Option Policy
- P/NP cannot be used to satisfy Liberal Arts Core, Liberal Arts major, minor, or certificate requirements.
