Credit Hours: 3.00. Acoustics of speech for SLHS prerequisite AuD and SLP students, honors undergraduates, and interested students from outside SLHS. This course provides an overview of the science of acoustics from the perspective of the study of spoken language, including discussion of basic aspects of speech perception, with particular attention paid to methods for analyzing and manipulating digital recordings of speech sounds.
