ANTH 30700 - The Development Of Contemporary Anthropological Theory

Explores the history of anthropological theories pertaining to the understanding of commonality and variation in human biology, behavior, society, and cultures as they have developed over the approximately two centuries since anthropology was founded as a separate discipline. Considers those social, cultural, and historical factors that have influenced the history of anthropological ideas. Permission of instructor required. Typically offered Fall Spring.
