Certificate Admission Requirements:
Primary Care Pediatric and Primary Care Adult Nurse Practitioner Certificate Programs
International Applicant Requirements:
- Undergraduate Cumulative Grade Point Average:
3.0 or equivalent required(and/or Graduate GPA of 3.0)
- Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Eligible for Indiana Registered Nurse Licensure
- Successful (3.0 on a 4.0 point scale) completion of a 300 level or above statistics course. The course must be taken within five years of matriculation into the program or concurrent with the first semester of graduate coursework.
*STAT 301 , SOC 38200 , SOC 58100, Methods of Social Research II (3) , STAT 50100, Experimental Statistics I (3) , STAT 51100, Statistical Methods (3) , PSY 50000 , or course deemed completed by the School of Nursing Admissions Committee.
- TOEFL for Non-Native English Speakers:
Minimum Paper-Based Test (PBT) Score Required: 550
Minimum Internet-Based Test (IBT) Overall Score Required: 77
With the following minimum section requirements:
Reading: 19
Listening: 14
Speaking: 18
Writing: 18
- IELTS (Academic Module):
An alternative to the TOEFL, scores of 6.5 or higher will be accepted
- Pearson Test of English (PTE) (Academic Module):
An alternative to the TOEFL, scores of 58 or higher will be accepted
- TWE for Non-Native English Speakers
Not required, but recommended
Master’s Degree Program Basic Requirements

- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree With a Major in Nursing
Degree must be from a school/department/college of nursing that is
accredited by the NLN and/or CCNE
- Eligible for Indiana Registered Nurse Licensure
